Individual therapy for adults

Understand the patterns.
Make room for change.

In our work together, I’ll use a psychodynamic approach to help you better understand why you think, feel, and act the way you do. I integrate behavioral tools to support change in your everyday life.

A collaborative,
candid conversation.

You might have a clear idea of what you want to work on, or just a sense that something isn’t quite right. Both are good places to begin.

We’ll get curious about how your past experiences show up in the present, including in your relationships. Alongside that exploration, we can work on practical ways to respond to difficult thoughts, feelings, and situations.

Young adulthood & life transitions

Finding your own direction.

Your twenties and thirties can bring changes in friendships, work, dating, and the way you understand yourself. You might feel pressure to know what comes next, or wonder why life doesn’t feel the way you expected.

We can explore what matters to you, the expectations you carry, and the relationships you want to build. Adults in other stages of life are equally welcome.

01

Anxiety & depression

Perhaps you’re stuck overthinking, feeling disconnected, or finding it hard to do the things that usually matter to you. Together, we can explore what is contributing to that experience and develop tools that support you day to day.

02

Relationships & identity

You might want closer relationships but find yourself holding back, second-guessing where you fit, or feeling alone even when you’re with other people. Maybe relationships keep ending in familiar ways, or you’re unsure how to ask for what you need.

Together, we can explore what makes connection difficult, how you see yourself, and the patterns that show up between you and others. Our therapeutic relationship offers space to practice being more open, expressing your needs, and navigating differences.

03

Identity, meaning & faith

Spirituality can be part of our conversations if it matters to you. My experience includes spiritual direction in a Christian context, and I welcome people of any or no faith.

You may be questioning beliefs you grew up with, looking for a sense of purpose, or wondering what makes life meaningful without a religious framework. These questions are welcome here.

We don’t need to share the same beliefs, and there’s no expectation that you bring religion into therapy. Spiritual direction informs my background; our work here is psychotherapy, guided by your goals.

What sessions can involve

Understanding, with room to practice.

We can start with something that happened this week, a difficult feeling, or a pattern you want to understand. We’ll consider how your history and relationships shape the present, alongside practical ways to respond.

That might mean finding words for a need, noticing a familiar self-critical thought, or exploring how you respond to conflict. You can ask questions about the approach and talk with me about what feels useful or needs attention.

In a free 15-minute consultation, we can discuss what brings you here, your preferences, and the practical arrangements before deciding whether to begin.
