Fees & insurance

Let’s make the
practical details clear.

I offer therapy through two practices. The payment arrangement depends on which practice we work through.

Peter J. Glick’s private practice

Private pay

$200 per session

Reduced fees are available down to $120, depending on your circumstances and availability. If the standard fee is a barrier, please ask about current options.

I provide therapy under the clinical supervision of Peter J. Glick, PhD.

East Mental Health Counseling

Insurance

Plan-dependent

Through East Mental Health Counseling, I accept major insurance plans. We’ll verify your specific plan, benefits, and expected costs before beginning.

Please let me know your insurer when you reach out so we can explore this option. Confirm scheduling and whether appointments are online or in person through East before making plans.

A few common questions

Before we begin.

Do I need to choose a practice before reaching out?

No. Let me know whether you hope to use insurance or pay privately, and we can clarify the options together.

Are reduced-fee sessions always available?

Reduced fees depend on your circumstances and current availability. We’ll agree on your fee before beginning.

What happens in the free consultation?

We’ll spend 15 minutes discussing what you’re looking for, practical questions, and whether working together feels like a good fit. It is an introductory conversation, not an ongoing therapy session.

When will we agree on the arrangements?

Before beginning, we’ll discuss your fee or verified insurance costs, session length, frequency, and scheduling. You can ask questions before deciding.

Can I seek out-of-network reimbursement?

Ask your insurer whether your plan covers sessions with a mental health counselor practicing under a limited permit. Coverage is not guaranteed. We can discuss documentation before you begin.

Can I meet online?

Yes. I offer online therapy for clients located in New York State. In-person therapy is also available on the Upper West Side.
